Chukwuebuka Obi Uchendu fondly referred to as Ebuka Obi was born on 14 July 1982 in Benin City, Edo, Nigeria. This means that Ebuka Obi Uchendu’s state of origin is Anambra. He has three siblings - one sister and two brothers - and is the third born child in a family of four children. 

In 2021, Ebuka Obi Uchendu’s parents celebrated their 52nd anniversary. His father Chief Ezeagada Okija worked as a banker and his mother was a nurse and thus providing Ebuka and his siblings a stable life.

His family later moved to Abuja where he attended Christ The King College and later proceeded to the University of Abuja. Ebuka Obi returned to Big Brother Africa as a host for its second, third, fourth and fifth seasons. 

Undoubtedly, Big Brother gave Ebuka Obi Uchendu a chance to establish himself and he did as he landed more opportunities after the show. He was named the host of the show Friend or Foe, Guinness Greatness TV and the GLO Show. As that happened, he landed several endorsement deals and published a weekly column in the Nigerian national paper.
