Mr Abayomi claimed, through his lawyer, that the publication had put his and his family's lives in jeopardy. Linda was given 48 hours to offer an unconditional apology or face legal action.

Linda's claims, according to Mr Abayomi's lawyers, were untrue and unfounded. They argued that it was only intended to lower Mr Abayomi's esteem and harm his reputation and professional career.

Stella Dimoko-Korkus, a gossip blogger, also accused Linda of plagiarising a story she 'borrowed' from her blog without crediting the source. Despite the pleas of concerned fans, the two bloggers exchanged insults on Instagram all night.
