D'banj has spoken out again following allegations he raped a woman in 2018....

After deleting a post where he claimed that he was pursuing legal action against the woman - named as Seyitan Babatayo - who went public with her story online, the star has shared another post relating to the allegations in a bid to redeem himself.

This time he's urged his followers NOT to trial him by social media and reaffirmed that he was "innocent until proven guilty".

D'banj bizarrely accompanied his request with a video of him singing and dancing for the camera.

Meanwhile thousands of Nigerians have signed a petition to have the singer stripped of his title of United Nations Ambassador of Peace

At the time of writing, over 20 000 people have added their names to the virtual doc, which highlights the alarming rate of sexual violence towards women in the country.

They've also called on the UN and the United Nations Women Africa to support the alleged rape victim in a bid to "get justice for the abuse she endured in 2018 and the harassment and bullying in the past weeks".

Many more social media users have demanded that the singer lose his endorsement deals with big brands like Heritage Bank and charity organisation One Africa.

Looks like the Kokomaster will have to try a little harder than a dance video to clear his name...
