It is no longer news that the ASUU strike has become so common Nigerian students, that many have taken it as a norm for the organization to go on an industrial strike almost every year. Just before the COVID-19 lockdown, ASUU had declared a nationwide strike.

And ace producer Don Jazzy has stressed his concerns with the strike as shown he said he is very worried that neither the Federal Government nor ASUU members are at the receiving end of these actions, but the innocent student whose futures and plans are delayed because of this strike action which occurs almost on yearly basis.

News had it that a private university, like Babcock completed their second semester online and also did their convocation, all within this lockdown period, while the students that attend the state and federal universities have successfully wasted 5 months staying at home while achieving nothing at all.

My suggestion is that many high profiled men and women need to speak up for this issue, so it can be resolved once and for all. But unfortunately, those that ought to speak for the masses either have their children in private universities or they are studying abroad. The poor masses are left to face their fate.

It's high time other celebrities join this music icon to speak to the federal government. Maybe then the voices of the poor masses can be heard. These were the words of the music legend, Michael Ajereh, aka Don Jazzy.

"An African proverb says, "when two elephants fight, it's the grass that gets trampled." The two elephants - ASUU and the FG. Students would be at the receiving end. A very sad situation. Stakeholders should pls try as much as possible not to let this strike action linger".
