WizKid Turns To Spirituality

The musician was reflecting on the police brutality face by black people around the world.

This week the world has been gripped by the long extending effects of the passing of African-American, George Floyd, which was initially suspected to be at the hands of police. The resurgence of police brutalities started a chain reaction of different stars all sharing their thoughts on the matter, and perceived the violence at the hands of law enforcements in the countries.   

WizKid used his Twitter profile to share his thoughts on the matter. The musician shared his empathy with African-Americans but showcased that the injustices happening in the US, also happen in Nigeria. The front man of Star Boy Records let it be known that, “Police dey kill black Americans and Naija police dey kill Nigerians.” He ended the tweet by suugesting that the only help we can get is if “God save(‘s) us.”

Star Boy's tweet drew an overwhelming response from his followers that used the comments section to join in prayer chain by sharing messages of encouragement and commune.
