Nigerian actress, director, producer, and filmmaker Abimbola Ibironke Oshin is also a filmmaker. After working in the entertainment sector for more than ten years, she only became well-known in 2016.

July 24th, 1971, saw the birth of Bimbo Oshin. She is a native of Nigeria's Ondo State. Pa Olasanmi Theophilus Oshin's late wife. She is the seventh child of her parents' eight children. She was raised in Ondo State, where she enrolled in Staff School Ile-Ife to begin her elementary schooling. 

At age six, she moved to Lagos, eventually completing her basic and secondary school studies at the Girls Academy. After that, Bimbo attended the University of Lagos for her post-secondary studies, earning a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in philosophy.

A boy and a girl, Bimbo Oshin is the proud mother of two kids. Michael Olusegun, her son, is her first child. In addition, she has a child named Iyanuoluwa Ibironke. On June 20th, she celebrated her birthday. 

The affairs of Bimbo Oshin's children have largely been kept out of the public eye.

Bimbo Oshin's Husband

Ola Ibironke was the husband of Bimbo Oshin. Often known as Dudu heritage, is a producer and promoter of music. Ola Ibironke was said to have left his ex-wife behind in the U.S. in favour of Bimbo Oshin. However, the veracity of this information was never confirmed.

Ola Ibironke genuinely loved his wife, as evidenced by the manner he publicly supported her and his haste to refute any rumours that are unfavourable to their union.

He died in late 2021.

Bimbo Oshin's Career

Bimbo Oshin had a passion for acting at a young age. She and her older sibling had been acting out some little drama at home, during which they recorded their fictitious films. However, she began her acting career in its early stages while an undergraduate at the University of Lagos. She was introduced to the Ara Osan group by the sister of one of her friends. She informed her that she had joined and encouraged her to do the same.

Bimbo concurred, joined the band (Ara Osan), and began attending practices in 1996. She worked for her boss, Rasaq Ajao, the owner of the Ara Osan theatre organization, for four years. Although she began her film career with English soap operas, she is currently succeeding in the Yoruba film business. Her first film, "Akobi," which came out in 1997, is credited with making her well-known.

She appeared in "Oh Father! Oh Daughter!" in 2001, one of Wale Adenuga's Super Story television series. She co-starred with Bukky Wright, Sola Sobowale (Toyin Tomato), Jide Kosoko, and Antar Laniyan.

2003 saw the release of Bimbo Oshin's debut Yoruba film, "Eji Owuro," featuring a score by Sola Allyson Obaniyi. The soundtrack, in particular, was very popular; the song was eventually included on an album.

She starred in the lead part of the popular Yoruba film "Omo Elemosho" in 2012, which was produced and directed by Yewande Adekoya. Famous Yoruba actors like Lanre Hassan (Iya Awero), Fausat Balogun (Madam Saje), Muyiwa Ademola, and Toyin Abraham are featured in the film. At the 10th Africa Movie Academy Awards, the film received five nominations.

She has a business called "Dashing by Bimbo Oshin," which sells apparel.
