A podcast, can be defined as a catalogue of audio files that are typically published in episodes and available for streaming or downloading via the Internet. Listeners are able to subscribe to their fav podcasts and can listen to them either online or off-line, the best part is that  majority of podcasts are absolutely free. Podcasts are, in general, an alternative to traditional radio stations that rehash the same sombre content over and over. With podcasts, one can now find and listen to anything they want with a quick search and the click of a button, whether it's sports, news, stand-up comedy, or daily rants.
