Burna Boy has scored himself a BET International Act nomination, awards show organisers revealed on Monday...

The Odogwu singer will go up against the likes of Stormzy, Sho Madjozi and Dave at the awards ceremony which takes place virtually on 29 June.

The star took home the same title in 2019, where his mother Bose Ogulu infamously accepted the award on his behalf.

Burna is not the only Naija star to make the nominations shortlist - Wizkid scored a nomination for his collaboration with Beyonce on her hit Brown Skin Girl for the BET Her Award whilst Rema was also nominated for the BET Viewers Choice: Best New International Act.

Meanwhile Burna reveals he wants to bless Americans with his talent and is contemplating a permanent move abroad

Speaking to The Fader publication earlier this year, Burna expressed his desire to do a 'reverse crossover'.

He told the mag; ”Yeah, I care about crossing over, but like in the opposite way. It’s like I want to come here and cross you over to where I am. Because where I am in the actual home or the beginning."

Burna's global reach and influence is undeniable. Earlier this month, video clips of UK Black Lives Matter protesters were captured dancing in the streets to his smash hit song Ye.

The world is ready for you Burna!
