Chief "Asiwaju" Bola Ahmed Tinubu was born on March 29, 1952, and he entered the Nigerian political scene in 1992. He was Nigeria's 12th governor of Lagos State from May 29, 1999, until May 29, 2007, when Babatunde Raji Fashola took over.
In 1993, he was elected to the position of senator for the Lagos West seat in Lagos State, beginning his career in politics. He is not only a politician, but also a certified public accountant.
