David Adedeji Adeleke is a Nigerian-American music superstar who was born on November 21, 1992. Davido is a professional singer, composer, record producer, and music executive.

After the release of his smash track, Dami Duro, in 2012, he became a household name in Nigeria. Omo Baba Olowo, his debut studio album, was critically acclaimed when it was released in 2012. He earned the Next Rated Artiste title at The Headies 2012 because of the popularity of his sophomore single, Omo Baba Olowo.

In July 2016, he inked a deal with RCA Records, a Sony Music subsidiary. In 2017, he released the top-charting songs If and Fall. Fall was the longest-charting Nigerian pop single in Billboard history, and both songs became international hits.

His second studio album, A Good Time, was published in November 2019, and his third, A Better Time, was released in 2020. Davido, who was formerly contracted to HKN Records, launched his own record company, DMW (Davido Music Worldwide), in 2016. Mayorkun, Peruzzi, Dremo, Liya, Yonda, and Idowest are all signed to the label.

Davido's family

The celebrity was born in Atlanta, Georgia, but is descended from the Adeleke family of Nigeria. Adedeji Adeleke is Davido's father's name, and he is known as Elder Deji Adeleke. 

He is a wealthy and successful businessman, therefore striving for success runs in his family. Veronica Adeleke, Davido's deceased mother, was a former university instructor. In 2013, she passed away. Davido and his sister Sharon Adeleke were the only offspring of Davido's parents.

Davido’s Father

Elder Deji Adeleke, or Adedeji Adeleke, the father of the famed artist Davido, is of Yoruba heritage. He is from Nigeria's Osun State. Deji Adeleke was born on March 6, 1957, in Lagos, Nigeria.

His family used to dwell in Enugu State. His father, Adebayo Adeleke, was a chief who oversaw the building of Banana Island, a man-made island off the coast of Lagos.

He was recognized for pledging to make Nigeria proud by building this island, devising a strategy for its growth, and adhering to it until Banana Island began to draw investors from all over the globe, ultimately becoming one of the country's most costly resorts.

Davido's brother and sisters


Davido is the third child of Deji Adeleke, Davido's father. Davido has an elder brother named Adewale Adeleke, as well as two sisters named Sharon and Ashley Coco. Reporters observed them together on their father's birthday a few years back.

There is just one living parent for the Adeleke children. Their mother died in a car accident more than ten years ago. Davido has no additional siblings than these two. Only these children were born into their father and mother's marriage.
