Deyemi Okanlawon isn't only a brilliant powerhouse but a successful director and scriptwriter as well.
He started his career at the age of five and by the age of nine, he had the opportunity to be featured on a television series.

Deyemi Okanlawon Early Life
Nigerian big-time movie star Deyemi Okanlawon was born in the capital city of Nigeria - Lagos. He was raised by his Aircraft Engineer father Mr Adeyemi Okanlawon, and baker and entrepreneur mother Adeyinka Okanlawon.
Deyemi later obtained a Certificate in Acting for Film through the New York Film Academy. This was definitely steering him towards a different direction compared to that of his corporate parents.
After completely choosing a career path that was new in his family, Deyemi worked hard to see the success of his hard work, dedication and pretty much, doing what he has always loved. This was a mixture of acting, producing and directing. However, it seemed like his parents' business ethics stuck with him because he turned his career into a business,
Deyemi Okanlawon's Education
In his early years as a scholar, Deyemi went to Taikenny Nursery, a primary school in Lagos. Deyemi furthered his high school studies through the International School in Lagos in collaboration with Del-York.
For his tertiary education, the actor studied Chemical Engineering at the University of Lagos (UL), now with the hopes of following his father's footsteps.
Being at University, Deyemi didn't only come out with a degree, but he met the love of his life — his wife, who is the mother of his two boys. When he was in university Deyemi decided to pause his acting career and focus on his books, however, after completing his studies he decided to pick up where he left off with acting.
Deyemi Okanlawon Marriage
Deyemi is married with two children, both being boys. He married his long-time university sweetheart, the two met at the University of Lagos.

Deyemi’s followers would agree that he is indeed a family man. Deyemi tied the knot in 2013 with his beautiful wife Damilola Okanlawon.
They were classmates, studying towards their Chemical Engineering degrees at the time. Deyemi and Damilola have since welcomed their two sons.
The duo welcomed their first baby boy on the 10th of July in 2016, Demide Okanlawon born in Dallas Texas, USA. Deyemi introduced his son to the world with his remarkable short film titled, For My Son. Their second child Adeife Oluwatunwase Okanlawon was born on the 18th of December 2017.
Deyemi isn't afraid to show people on his social media that he is indeed not only an actor, loving husband and a family man, but he takes his health seriously, as he expressed his love for fitness on his Instagram. He always says that this is the kind of lifestyle he wishes his sons will follow so that they also keep healthy.
Deyemi started acting at the age of five when he was featured in an ‘end-of-year’ play while he was still in Primary school. When Okanlawon was nine, he was featured in a national television commercial with Kunle Bamtef. As he was growing, the Yoruba actor was mostly focused on his theatre roles.

He became an active member of the drama groups, Xtreme Reaction and Snapshots. After some time of inactivity, Deyemi made his feature film debut in 2010, which was before he was featured in a short film titled A Grain of Wheat.
As the number of features was increasing - Deyemi featured and co-produced numerous short-films. The actor even gained notoriety for his contributions to the media industry.
After all the self-discovery he underwent in the industry, Deyemi decided to take on acting in its entirety. He has since been featured in over 50 film credits, stage credits and has appeared in GLO Television commercials as well as music videos for Waje and Aramide.

He had an exciting role in the movie, Beyond Blood, which is a romantic thriller movie. A movie that will have you sitting at the edge of your seat leaving you with more anticipation. Greg Odutayo directed the movie, which was one of the things that made Deyemi broaden his horizon in the industry.
Deyemi took on a role in the movie, If Tomorrow Never Comes, playing a character named Kay. In 2016, he had yet another role in Desperate Housegirls 2 & 3 where he played the role, Femi. As the year continued beautifully for the actor, he landed more roles. All these movies that he was involved in bringing about high figures in sales.

Deyemi isn’t only in films, he was in NdaniTV's series Gidi Up with OC Ukeje, Titilope Sonuga, Somkele Iyamah and Joke Silva. Deyemi was later featured in the TV series Taste Of Love, Lekki Wives, An African City and Dowry.
Deyemi is one of the very few actors who doesn't only get intrigued by acting but has the hunger to learn the depths of the acting business, as he has opened many doors for others.
Through hosting casting auditions for up and coming actors around Nigeria, with his live Instagram show - How To Become A Nollywood Star, which showcases him advising his online followers, sharing his experience in the field and him finding rare talent to audition for acting.
Deyemi was awarded Best Actor in a Short Film at the In-Short festival which is an educational film about gender-based violence and femicide, where Deyemi played the role of a violent psychotic husband.
