After losing his parents, Ice Prince had nothing to turn back to. He became a University dropout due to financial constraints. He lost both his parents a decade apart and as a big brother, he had to take the hard pill and shape up for the betterment of his family.

The musician draws inspiration from the likes of Jay Z, Common, Nas, 2 Pac, and many more along with his preferred genre which is Hip Hop. Ice Prince started from the very bottom where he couldn't survive but had to hustle, as a way of life.

Through hard work and dedication, we see it with Henry that tough times only hang around for a little while but there are surely brighter days ahead. He was afforded the opportunity and he made great use of it as today, he is one of the most influential artists in Africa.

He was born on the 30th of October in 1986. He is 33 years old.

Ice Prince Family


The rapper's birth name is Panshak Henry Zamani, and he is popularly known as Ice Prince, in Minna. At the age of 2, Ice Prince together with his family — Mr and Mrs Nasara relocated to the mining town of Jos in Plateau State, Nigeria. Ice Prince also opened up about the passing of his parents where his father passed on at the age he started writing rap songs, in 1999.

Ice Prince has a son with Bimbo Babatunde named Jamal Zamani.

Ice Prince's son born on March 1, 2012. After they broke up, the rapper was single for a while until he started seeing a French-Ghanaian model, Maima Nkewa.

In the interview with PM News at his Lekki home in Lagos on Friday, April 5th, 2019, the singer who rose to fame after releasing his hit single “Oleku”, disclosed that he’s been yanked off the singles’ market.

Ice Prince Education

Henry finished his elementary school and proceeded to Murumba College in Jos for his secondary school education and later attended Science Tutorial College in Jos.

Ice Prince was admitted into the University of Jos, Plateau to study zoology. However, the rapper decided to opt-out due to financial constraints following the death of his parents. 

Ice Prince Career


As Ice Prince's life began in Jos, he started discovering who he is and what purpose he wanted to serve, which is music and rapping. The life-changing decision was in 1999 when Ice Prince started writing his own music and in 2001, he was on the journey of his first debut. 

Ice Prince started writing his music in 1999 where he would randomly write rap songs and would perform them at school gatherings.

Starting off as something small, the rapper began going to studios to create music.  In 2002 Ice Prince and a friend came with an idea of creating a group by the name, “ECOMOG Squad” but it wasn't long until they had their differences and split a year later.

Two years later, Ice Prince had an opportunity to meet M.I, Jesse Jagz, Ruby, Lindsey, Tazz and combined their minds to create a legacy which is known as Loopy Cree today.

Ice Prince disclosed his journey during an interview with Adeola Adeyemo

He said "I joined the choir in my church and started singing Tenor. That was about the time MI moved back to Nigeria and we became friends, we became family, we started living together, started making music together. I had a song that made it to Number 1 in Jos, that was when I started getting more attention. Then I got admitted into the University of Jos to study Zoology but then I couldn't really continue because of some financial constraint at the time."

During tough moments after he had entered the music industry, Ice Prince and M.I, would constantly visit Djinee’s house. He was a very good friend to them and ended up accommodating them until they found their feet.

As a hustler and a hard worker - Ice Prince, entered the Hennessy Artistry Competition - and event hosted by the alcoholic brand, Hennessy to support the countries Urban and Contemporary.

The competition featured talents such as Bez, Mo'Cheddah, Blaise, and Jimmy Flames but neither of them was a match for Ice Prince who grabbed the first position. 

After a couple of years of trying to find his feet, the rapper released the single Oleku which became the most downloaded and remixed song in Nigeria, at the time, and in history. 

Due to the attraction, it brought for the rapper, he put the hit song in his first studio album, Everybody Loves Ice Prince which was released in 2011.The success of the song was followed by the Fire of Zamani album in 2013. He released his last studio album in 2016 which is Jos To The World. He then released an E.P, C.O.L.D which had a smash hit, Shutdown.

The rapper is not only a musician but a great actor as well. Ice Prince was featured in two movies in 2013. He played a supporting role in The use of Gold and made a cameo appearance in Shuga (season 3).

Ice Prince, following his successful two studio albums, has won a BET Award, three Headies Awards, Two Nigeria Entertainment Awards, and two Channel O Music Video Awards.

Ice Prince Brand Endorsements 


He is an ambassador for  D'USSE Cognac, the same brand as the one the American rapper, Jay Z represents. The deal was for Ice Prince to represent the alcoholic brand for two-years as D'USSE wanted to establish a market in Nigeria. 

The rapper has endorsement deal with Adidas, Chow Mein Restuarant, MA The Jewellery and many more brands. He once turned down a deal with Globacom as he cited that the money they were offering was too low.

Ice Prince Controversy

After breaking up with Maima, the rapper was invited to Punch News for an interview to talk about the allegation that his ex-girlfriend cheated on him.

But in his defence, Ice Prince said,“She didn’t cheat on me. I never caught her cheating and I never suspected her to be cheating on me. I was the one that messed up."

As he continued. "That is all I can tell you. It is gone now. I don’t intend to say how I messed up. Right now, I am single,". Ice Prince refused all the allegations of his ex-girlfriend cheating and expressed how he doesn't want to utter how he was at fault.  

Ice Prince Net Worth


Ice Prince is estimated to be worth $4.5 million and considered one of the richest rappers in the country from his work as a businessman and brand endorsement.
