Limpopo singer KCEE granted an interview recently where he stated that the industry has not given him the same amount of love and energy he put into his craft.
He is responsible for some of the country’s hit songs like Limpopo, Pull Over as an independent artist, and Sio Nkpo, Sengemenge, Shokori, as a part of the group KCPresh.

He used to be one half of the duo KCPresh, with his friend Presh. They met in church, signed up for the STAR Quest Reality TV show organized by Star and won. After their win, they released hit songs, Sio Nkpo, Shokori, Sengemenge. In 2011 they decided to pursue their music separately after twelve Years together.

He is signed 5-Star Music; a record label owned by his younger brother E-Money.
In the interview, he mentioned that he would rather take God's reward than the awards.

‘The industry has not been fair to me because I’ve done more than enough for them to recognize me, but they always award people they are close to, people they think deserve the award, but God has been rewarding me for my effort, and I think that reward is stronger than award. Each time I look at my shelf and I see awards, and I look at the back I see rewards, I say ‘Ah’ I prefer rewards. Keep your awards. I prefer my rewards. My story is always shocking them…’
Still in the interview, he talked about people who call themselves music analysts, who curate chart-topping songs. He expressed his lack of recognition for such people because, according to him, they do not always speak the truth
‘…People that come to analyse music on TV, who gave you the right to? What do you know? You release top ten… and you want to calculate how many people listen to music… my latest release, Cultural Praise, majority of the people that listen to it are not online, they do not have phones.’
‘They think they are the owner of the industry. Na lie, nobody owns this thing.
Everybody comes and plays their parts and goes, nobody get any industry’

In December last year, he released Cultural praise in collaboration with Okwesili Eze musical group to critical acclaim. By popular demand, he released Cultural Praise Volume 2 on the first of January, 2021.
