Olamilekan Moshood Agbeleshe better known as Laycon is a Nigerian singer and rapper who rose to fame in 2020 after participating in the hit reality show- Big Brother Naija season 5 and winning.

According to several online sources, Laycon’s net worth is estimated to be around N100 million. 

He has accumulated this incredible wealth from his career as a reality star on Big Brother Naija, his music career, as well as his endorsement deals.

Laycon’s interest in music began at a tender age. He began writing songs and rapping when he was young and followed up with this talent when he grew older.

In 2014, he was among ten musicians who were selected to perform at the Coke Studio University of Lagos event and in 2017, he was among the top ten finalists of the MTV Base LSB challenge.

Laycon signed the record label- Fierce Nation which is owned by Olugbenga Jackson and in February of that same year, he released his hit single titled Fierce featuring Chinko Ekun.

Since officially launching his music career, Laycon has released two studio albums- Shall We Begin and I am Laycon both released in 2021, two EPs, two mixtapes, and a good number singles.

Besides making money from his music, Laycon has also won several awards and accolades for his music including the City People Music Awards, the Naijatraffic Awards, and the Net Honours.

Laycon joined Big Brother Naija season 5 on the 19th of July 2020 and was one of the 20 housemates who were cast for the reality show.

During the show, Laycon quickly established himself as a fan favourite and survived eviction from the house. 

After 71 days in the competition, Laycon was declared the winner of the show after scoring 60% of the total votes cast.

As a result of winning the Big Brother Naija season 5, Laycon won a grand prize of ₦85 million and other prizes: a trip to Dubai and Dublin, one year supply of Indomie noodles, Munch it chin-chin, Pepsi and Colgate toothpaste, among other prizes.

Besides his appearance on Big Brother Naija, Laycon also starred in his own Showmax reality show called I Am Laycon in 2021.

Laycon’s net worth has also been built through the multi million deals he has secured with big brands.

Some of the big brands that Laycon represents or has represented include Oppo Nigeria, GOTv Nigeria, Mentos Fresh, Orijin, Mentos Fresh, and OPay. He is also the Youth Ambassador for Ogun State.

Besides the grand cash prize that Laycon won following his victory at BBNaija, the reality star also walked away with a brand new IVM G40 but that’s not the only sleek drive that he owns. He also owns a Mercedes Benz E350 which he acquired in 2020 as his 27th birthday gift.

As part of his BBNaija prize, he also received a fully furnished two-bedroom apartment at Flourish residents, Bodija, Lagos. 

Laycon was also reportedly awarded a 3-bedroom bungalow by the governor of Ogun State after his appointment as Ogun State Youth Ambassador in 2020.
