Celebrity scandals that broke the internet
Celebrities sometimes can be petty. When they are unable to resolve their issues amongst themselves they take it to the internet. Even though they are entertaining, they embarrass each other by airing their dirty linen. However, they give their fans something to keep up with and make the internet worth it.

Here are celebs who have been involved in messy scandals:

Tonto Dikeh and Prince Kpokpogri

In 2021  Tonto Dikeh, a talented actress, and her ex-lover, Prince Kpokpogri, made headlines throughout September despite having called it quits in July.

Kpokpogri, the chairman of the Anti-Corruption and Integrity Forum, compared his ex Tonto to "Helen of Troy," claiming that their brief relationship was chaotic.

When a famous blogger leaked a viral voice note and a phone call between Kpokpogri and a socialite, the once-happy relationship came to an end. The once loving couple was involved in an Instagram fight.

Tonto's fans were dissatisfied with the online drama and pleaded with her to address it privately. She, on the other hand, was having none of it and continued to publicly slander each other.

She filed a police report, which revealed shocking information about Mr.Kpokpogri. In the report, she accused him of blackmail, extortion, a threat to her life, hacking, obtaining by false pretense, and cyberstalking, among other things.

Kpokpogri did not take it lying down and went on the record accusing Tonto Dikeh of having an affair and being addicted to drugs. He also filed a lawsuit against her, seeking N10 billion in damages.

Tonto is famously known for starring in Men In Love and Celebrity Marriage. She appears to be enjoying all the attention she is getting from their separation as the actress continues to speak about it in any opportunity she gets.

Tubaba Idibia and wife, Annie

Last year Innocent Idibia, aka 2baba, and his wife Annie Macaulay's marriage encountered a problem in September.

Annie publicly accused her husband of cheating and cohabiting with his baby mama, Pero Adeniyi.

Even though the Instagram story has been deleted, she claimed that the singer slept in the same house as his baby mama Adeniyi, together with the children while spending some vacation time in Disneyland, California.

Annie further claimed that her inlaws never liked her and were cruel to her. No matter how much she tried to please them it never worked.

Fans were not pleased with Annie and urged her to sort her marital issues away from social media. Even though Pero and Annie had clashed before this was their biggest fight that made headlines last year.

However, 2Face and his wife Annie who starred in the movies Alakada Reloaded and Power Of 1, are now on good terms. On his birthday, 2baba took to social media to inform his fans that he had reconciled with his wife.

It was messy but at least the couple came out victorious.

Alaafin and Queen Aanu

Months after telling an interviewer that she not only loves her husband, the Alaafin of Oyo, Lamidi Adeyemi, but worships him as a god, Queen Aanu claimed that he was threatening her life because she had walked out on the marriage.

This was stated by the 23-year-old queen in a statement posted on her official Instagram account. In her statement, she also tagged the police.

For months, rumors circulated that Aanu and another young queen, Damilola, who is also among the wives of Alaafin, fled to Lagos in order to be "free."

It was the first time the queen had publicly confirmed rumors that she had left her five-year marriage. She stated that the monarch attempted but failed to kidnap her and that she no longer wishes to be in captivity.

In 2021 it seems everything was going well for her as it was rumored that Queen Aanu had hinted at getting married to her secret lover.

We're glad she found love outside of the palace. Nobody could have predicted that a queen would live in servitude.

Tope Alabi

Gospel singer Tope Alabi’s fans were shocked when a man named Mayegun Olaoye claimed to be the biological father of the singer's daughter, Ayomiku.

Tope Alabi's fans were in disbelief by the allegations, and many questioned the report.

Tope Alabi is famous for the songs You Are Worthy, Hallelujah, Yes and Amen, to name a few. While she and her husband, Soji, remained silent, her 22-year-old daughter, who is embroiled in the controversy, spoke out.

She stated that she is aware that Olaoye is her biological father, but she does not consider him to be her biological father because the only father she knows is Soji Alabi. In an interview with Punch she stated:

"I will always know that my father is Soji Alabi. I do not know any other person and I have never met any other man. I cannot blatantly deny him because I have heard about him but I have never had anything to do with this man,"

Ayomiku also added that the only way she would grant Olaoye an audience is if they met in court and there was a judgment to that effect.

Tope’s daughter, seems to have already made up her mind about the issue and is not interested in knowing Olaoye. Could this story be about an irresponsible father?

Dbanj Rape Scandal

Benjamin Ese, a model scout, claimed D'banj raped his pal on New Year's Eve in 2018 at the Glee Hotel in Victoria Island, Lagos.

After the claims were made, the lady revealed herself and told her side of the story about her alleged encounter with D'banj. She claimed that D’banj acquired her key room from the receptionist and used it to access the room she was in and rapped her.

Ms. Babatayo being her name, then went to her lawyers and demanded that the entertainer issue a public apology.

D'banj was having none of it, and filed a lawsuit against Ms. Babatayo through his lawyer, Mike Ozekhome, seeking N100 million in compensation for falsely accusing him of rape. He also demanded that she pay the amount within 2 days or face going to court.

It was also alleged that Ms. Babatayo was arrested by the authorities and spent three nights in jail. She later came out to refute the claims.

In a letter signed by his lawyer, D'banj demanded that his accuser write an apology, withdraw her statements, and have her case dismissed and publicize it in four national dailies.

The two finally reached an agreement and the investigation into the rape case was closed by the police.

Even though they left us hanging, we hope that the truth was revealed.
